has been in practice as a licensed therapist for over 15 years, licensed in California, Missouri, and Georgia. She is a bilingual (Spanish speaking) therapist dedicated to supporting clients along their journey to achieve mental wellness in all areas of their life. She has worked in a variety of settings as a director of mental health, an adjunct professor, in medical clinics, and owning her own private practice supervising interns. Her central aim is to work with clients to achieve freedom or libertad from the hurt and suppression that has led to emotional pain and access a life of vitality and joy. Reina has been providing psychological evaluations to help individuals and their spouses obtain legal status in the United States. She is skilled in providing evaluations for I-601 waiver, U-Visa, VAWA, asylum, and removal cases. She uses her therapeutic skills to be able to guide and support clients through the emotional challenges that are commonly present when engaging in the immigration process. She can also provide assistance in writing declarations.
Reina is competent in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions including, but not limited to anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD, adjustment disorders, and bipolar disorder. She also is skilled in couples therapy. Her central aim is to meet all clients wherever they are in their mental health journey and partner with them to be the most fulfilled, healthiest version of themselves. She will hold hope for the client until they are able to hold this hope for themselves.
Reina also offers empowerment coaching to support women of color who have a history of feeling they are not enough due to societal narratives. In her experience treating women of color, there are consistent themes that emerge that reveal that confidence can be impacted due to living in a world that sends messages that only certain ways of being can lead to success. Deconstructing and shifting these messages is an important part of healing and living a life that is free of unnecessary constraints. Reina loves to do this work due to the powerful ways she has seen women shift.
